Estrella: First off, what's your name and what do you do in the band?
Eron: My name's Eron Bucciarelli and I play the drums for Hawthorne Heights.
Estrella: How has tour been for you, so far?
Eron: This tour has been amazing, it's by far the best tour we've ever been on. And every night's been huge.
Estrella: Do you have any tour stories? Like any crazy fans or anything?
Eron: The craziest fans, we met last night and our merch guy ended up going camping with them. And they're here today.
Estrella: I think I saw them.
Eron: Yea, it's all good.
Estrella: What's your favorite kind of snowball?
Eron: The slushie ones cause they're not hard.
Estrella: What flavor?
Eron: Cherry.
Estrella: Favorite Johnny Depp movie?
Eron: I'll go with Edward Scissorhands.
Estrella: What was your worst subject in high school?
Eron: Chemistry.
Estrella: What's your favorite cereal?
Eron: I'm a big fan of Honey Nut Cheerios.
Estrella: What's your worst fear?
Eron: My worst fear is... spiders, freak me out.
Estrella: What was your best Halloween costume?
Eron: One year, I dressed up as Wayne from Wayne's World. Another one, I dressed up like the guys from Clockwork Orange. That was probably the best out of all of them.
Estrella: Have you ever spent the night in jail?
Eron: No.
Estrella: Who's the biggest drinker in your band, would you say?
Eron: Casey and me.
Estrella: Who are some of your influences?
Eron: Mine or the bands?
Estrella: You, personally.
Eron: My personal influences are John Bonham from Led Zeppelin. Dave Grohl frm Nirvana and the Foo Fighters and Sammy Siegler, who's played everylike old school, hardcore band like Gorilla Biscuits, Youth of Today, you name it, he was in it. And Quicksand, I love that band.
Estrella: What are you currently listening to?
Eron: Right now, the Killers new album, it's total indie-rock, hot stuff and, the new Atreyu. The new Underoath and we just got our hands on the new Taking Back Sunday, so we've been listening to that, a bunch.
Estrella: If you could be in a different kind of band with different kind of music, would you? Or do you like the sound that you play?
Eron: I would love to do like an old school, hardcore band, and maybe sing. Because I love old school hardcore, I don't know if you guys are fans of like Haste the Day and stuff, but I grew up on listening to that stuff. So, it would be so fun to be in a band like that. Either that or I wouldn't mind being in some kind of like indie-rock band.
Estrella: What would you be doing if you weren't in the band?
Eron: Before we got signed I worked at TimeMark Cable as a marketing coordinator. So, I probably would be still doing that.
Estrella: How did Victory get ahold of your stuff?
Eron: We sent out 35 press kits to a whole bunch of different labels. Victory and Drive Thru were the two biggest ones we sent too. About a month later Victory sent us a generic letter saying, "Hey, we got your demo, we're viewing it, if we don't get back to you, don't take it personally, you don't suck, we have l ike a strict release schedule." And we're like, "Alright, whatever", and then a month later they sent us the same letter. So, I emailed them and was like, "Hey, Either somebody messed up there and sent the same letter twice or you kept it around cause you liked it, here's what we've been up to since then...", then, they emailed us back and asked us to come play a showcase for them.
Estrella: That's good. You got signed and then...
Eron: 6 days after they emailed us, we were playing a showcase for them, then the next day they made us an offer, and then we decided we wanted to actually go with Victory, and maybe a month later we were in the studio.
Estrella: What would you say to any fan who are trying to get their band big?
Eron: Be very persistent. Don't be upset, if people don't get back to you right away, it takes years and years. We've all been in so many bands that never did anything. For three years, we used to be called, "A Day In The Life", and we couldn't get signed to any label to save our lives, you know. You just got to be persistent.
Estrella: Do you have any last words?
Eron: Thank you for the interview.
Estrella: Thank you.
