Bensin is a five piece band from New York who has been recieving quite the buzz because of their touring and catchy music. They deserve every good part of it. Their sound is a bit different from what you may of heard from other artists before. From telling you that mixing keyboards into their sound may not sound like they would be much different from what you hear these days, but they are. They're one of the few, if not the only band I've heard mix both keyboards and pop punk melody with it. With their realease of "Leave Your Mark", they've been talked about in many places. After I listened to the album, I thought they were amazing and should be the next big thing. Their music puts you in a feel good mood, which is always the best. All of their songs are great, but I have two personal favorites, "Holiday" and "Medicine". "Holiday" is the song that got me into the band, it was the first song I heard by them and I just wanted to get up and dance. Don't get me wrong, I dance alot to songs but, "Holiday" that song was different. It's so upbeat and good, it makes you want to dance and just that. The lyrics are so well fitting with the song and how it makes you feel. The lyrics that put you in the best mood is the chorus, "I keep my head high, shoes tied, I feel so right, I feel so alive and I'll stay on this holiday, you could not bring me down if you tried," basically saying no matter what you can't bring me down, and get over it and deal with it. "Medicine", I heard that song after recieving the cd, I think it's so well put together and beautiful. I give it the label "pretty music", which I only say about a few bands. They're not a "pretty music" type band, just that song is. Both of those songs are so amazing and so is the whole cd. Other favorites are "Popstar," "Old School," and "Super Zero." You must check all those songs out. If I was to compare them to another band, it would be very had to do so, but I would say they remind me of The Reunion Show in a sense with their sound, and with that being said, check out Bensin and make them your new favorite band.
